Gjennom stein (Through rock) is based on photographic and sonic investigations of stone in Iceland in 2019, which I did with my then 4-year-old daughter. The project connects play, geological facts, and science fiction, in an attempt to meet something as big as climate change and geological time. Soon the project will be presented as a book (on my new micro publishing house Manilla Press!), as well as exhibition prints.
Read MoreTogether with eight other artists, I’m learning photogrammetry in the inaugural part of the workshop Landscape as Material Witness at BEK - Bergen Centre for Electronic Arts. In the workshop, we will look at how visual traces in a landscape can be read, and how these traces can function as witnesses of ongoing processes like destruction of nature, climate changes, or political and economic transformations.
Read MoreIn the period of February 27th – March 2nds I will be on a work residency at BEK - Bergen Centre for Electronic Arts, together with sound designer Rikard Strømsodd. Together we will develop the new sound work Cataract, and test out solutions for how the sound images can surround the viewer in the exhibition space.
